Slitter Rewinder

A Slitting Machine (commonly referred to as a slitter rewinder) is a special type of equipment used to convert or slit many different materials or flexible substrates into narrower rolls and/or different diameters. These machines are available in a broad variety of configurations to help meet the individual needs of each industry that uses them and we have considerably experience with virtually all of them. Which machine you choose is normally defined by the kind of material you have and the type of slitting that best cuts your material.

Slitting machines consist of three main components: the unwind, the slitting method, and the rewind. The process starts when a master roll of material at a given width and diameter is loaded into the unwind, allowing you to send the material into the machine. As the material is fed out of the unwind, the slitting section cuts it into smaller widths according to the machine settings. Normally slitting is done using shear slitting, razor slitting or score slitting depending on your material. The tension is controlled in various ways both on the unwind and on the rewind and this is an essential component to good roll formation.

After the material is slit, the strips are then rewound onto a corresponding core of the same width, either on two rewind mandrels (duplex) or a single mandrel (simplex). Slitter rewinders can process a broad variety of both thick and thin materials, including:
