40”wide Goebel Rapid D slitter rewinder. This machine was rebuilt by Web Industries with improvements to roll tensioning and a special rewind shaft assist for light papers. Unwind diameter of 40". Rewind diameter of 32”. Maximum speed of 1500 FPM. The slitting method is shear cutting and can handle a maximum slit width of 52.0”. Because of Rapid D’s unique design, it’s the best machine for narrow slitting of paper and paper laminates. The rewind has one 3” button style rewind shaft. Footage counter. Integral Goebel unwind. Larger unwinds caan be fitted. These machines are notable for being able to slit paper and similar products and wind them on a single shaft with good cut seperation. This makes them very productive. The attatched video is of another Goebel we rebuilt. It is similar. This machine will be rebuilt by Benick Machineworks. It already has an upgraded AC Drive system.
