Custom Fabrications

We are often asked to provide major modifications to existing machinery, or fabricate specialized machinery from scratch. Our extensive experience in web handling, along with our many years experience re-building machinery, gives us the experience to design and build virtually anything our customers need.

These photos show our latest project, using state of the art CAD capabilities. We are adding this structure to improve the web separation of a tape material from it’s liner. The liner is saved for later use. Our design tripled the line speed of the tape slitter being modified.

We have taken on such projects as adding a nip or stripping section, changing cutting angles on sheeter knives, and adding slitting sections.

Often our customers want to purchase a used slitter which may require certain "modifications" to make it perform for their process. In some cases they may know exactly what changes they need. In most cases, however, we are working with them to slit a difficult product, and we make certain suggestions as to how to make a machine best perform the task.

These modifications may include upgrading drives and controls, increasing the rewind diameter, or cantilevering the rewind. Our long history slitting the widest imaginable variety of products gives us the experience necessary to make used machinery perform virtually any slitting and winding task as a fraction of the cost of a new machine.
